2011-2012  Badminton Leagues

Information on the Leagues for the coming season can be found in the 'Files' Secftion below and the Entry Form for the Badminton Leagues can be found in the Entry Forms Section on the top right of this page.

The Sheffield Schools Tournaments are restricted to players who attend a school in Sheffield and are the only tournaments in which doubles partners must be from the same school. In Yorkshire Schools Closed Tournaments (restricted to players who attend a school or live in the county) doubles partners can be players from any school in Yorkshire. In all the other tournaments doubles partners can be from different counties.

The Abbeydale Restricted U17/U15/U13 Tournaments will be restricted to players who have NOT represented their county on more than ONE occasion in the last 12 months and the       U11 Tournament will be restricted to players who have NEVER played for their county.

Schools in Sheffield will be e-mailed an entry form for each Sheffield Schools tournament. Please ask the teacher in charge of badminton at your school to enter you in these tournaments. Individual entry forms for other tournaments will be e-mailed to schools, junior clubs and badminton coaches.

The BE Gold, Silver and Bronze tournaments are part of the Badminton England Junior Tournament Circuit . They are run on behalf of Badminton England by County Badminton Associations. Gold events are mainly for Grade 1 players, Silver events for grade 2  players while only grade 3 or ungraded players may enter the Bronze tournaments. There is only 1 grade (Silver) for U11 tournaments which are targeted at players with some tournament experience. Players taking part in Badminton England tournaments for the first time should consider entering a Bronze tournament. If in doubt about the most appropriate tournaments to enter please consult your coach for advice.
