Please find below in the 'Files' section the Dates for 2012, AGM Minutes from 15.11.11 and the Annual Report complied by Craig Malkin and Karen Leaver.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ALL MATCHES FOR 2012 WILL BE AT DON VALLEY AND THAT SOME SLIGHT POSITIVE CHANGES IN NUMBERS OF ATHLETES QUALIFYING FOR THE FINALS WILL RESULT.

Please download the programme for your particular district so that you can see the order of events and the part you and your staff need to play win the organisation of the meeting.

PRIMARY SCHOOLS' ATHLETICS 2011 

Hello,
It’s time to start thinking about this year`s Year 5 / 6 Primary Schools` Athletics.
We have just confirmed all dates for this year’s heats. All heats and the final will be held at Woodbourn Road. As with the past few years there is the option of schools taking part in heats that start at 1.30pm or 4pm. We have reduced the number of dates from 5 to 4, however, we do have provision for a 5th if the limit of schools entering is exceeded..
In order to cut down on the amount of postage sent to schools, because of the costs involved and the way the internal post is run, we are asking that the person organising the athletics in school provides an e - mail address. If this is not possible, then I will send information out by post. Results will also be posted on the Sheffield Federation website for your pupils to view.
Hopefully this year, we will have more volunteers helping with the events; however, a certain amount of help will be needed from schools to help the event run smoothly.
Please be aware that it is the school`s responsibility to provide first aid cover for your pupils. Obviously, stadium staff and the organisers will be on hand to provide any assistance needed.
The School Sports Partnerships are fully aware of competition and if you would like help with coaching, give your SSCo a call.
On the Entry Forms available in the Entry Form Section above, could you please put in order of preference your choices for the dates available? Please note the early closing date for entries, which is Friday, 25th March. This is so that I can confirm dates with you before the Easter holidays. Team sheets and programmes will be posted on the Sheffield Federation web site after the Easter holidays, which is www.sfss.co.uk
For those not aware with the format, the top six from each heat qualify for the City Finals which takes place on Thursday, 23rd June, starting at 4pm at Woodbourn Road.
