The School Games is a celebration of competitive sport that will involve all young people in years 3
to 13, of all abilities and backgrounds.
Level 1: Intra-school
competition, culminating in a School Games day
Level 2: Regular inter-school competition between schools at a local
level
Level 3:Annual county/area culimination of inter-school
competitions - Schools Games Festivals
Level 4: National multi-sport event
Further Information can be found in the 'Files' section below.
How do I get involved?
1. Register your school's interest on the website: www.yourschoolgames.com
Once you register your interest you will receive a pack to start running the School
Games in your school. Your school must be registered to enter these
competitions. Where the competitions are run in conjunction with the SFSS your
school must also have paid their block entry fee for 2011/12.
2.Involve the whole school:
The School Games should excite and inspire everyone to get involved. Start thinking
about how you will work with students, teachers and other staff - and parents -
to put the School Games at the heart of school life.
3. Plan your intra-school programme:
Why not bring together a group within your school to plan your intra-school programme
for next year? Which sports and formats will you choose? What will your
School Games Day look and feel like? It's time to get planning!

Sheffield School Games Competition Structure
The SFSS competitions will continue to run as usual and where the format of these allow they will
form part of the new ‘School Games' Level 2 structure and teams will progress to Level 3 as appropriate. Where
competitions within additional ‘School Games' sports do not already exist these will be facilitated by the SGO's with support from the SFSS, Teacher Release Posts and NGB's. It is hoped that many of these competitions will form part of the SFSS offer to schools beyond 2013.
