Primary Cross Country begins on Saturday 26th September.

The Sheffield Schools Primary Cross Country Leages for 2009-10 begin on Saturday 26th September at Ecclesfield Primary School. The first race is at 10am.

Team managers are reminded that their school must have paid the annual block entry fee to Sheffield Federation for School Sport in order for their pupils to compete (schools that have paid thus far can be found on the members page of this website)

Competing schools are also responsible for:

�� their own children AND parents

�� giving regular reminders about the no-contact rule - children are not allowed to stick out an arm

to stop children overtaking them (N.B. they MAY put hands on hips when in the finish line to keep

their place)

�� giving regular reminders that nobody child or adult may run alongside runners - this is pacing and

can lead to disqualification

�� giving regular reminders to spectators about not crossing the course or crowding the finish

�� giving regular reminders about safe parking and sharing transport where possible

�� Handing results to me straight after the race - results are compiled on Saturday afternoon.
