Bradfield School take early lead in Cross Country Leagues.

Could there be a new name on the secondary schools cross country champion overall team trophy for 2009-10? It is early days yet as only the first set of races have taken place (at Hinde House school on 17 October) yet Bradfield hold a three point advantage over second place Siverdale and a five point lead over joint third, King Edward VII and Tapton. Current holders Handsworth Grange are presently in sixth place.

In the individual age groups the following athletes were placed first:

Y7 Boys - J Shields (Meadowhead School)

Y7 Girls - I Grant (Handsworth Grange School)

Junior Boys - J Lancaster (Notre Dame School)

Junior Girls - N Hackett (Sheffield High School for Girls)

Intermediate Boys - K Sampson (Springs Academy)

Intermediate Girls - F Bell (Tapton School)

Senior Boys - Y Mohammed (Longley Sixth Form College)

Senior Girls - C Thackery (Norton College)
