Cricket Finals

Weather permitting Sheffield Schools Cricket Association will hold their 'finals day' on Thursday July 10th at Abbeydale Sports Club. The Y7, Y8, Y9 and Y10 league championships will be decided on a day guaranteed to be full of exciting cricket, fittingly at the home of the Michael Vaughan academy.

The final line ups look like this:

Y7 HIGH STORRS versus BIRLEY

Y8 TAPTON versus FIRTH PARK

Y9 SILVERDALE or KING ECGBERTS versus BIRLEY or KING EDWARD VII

Y10 KING ECGBERT or FIR VALE versus ECCLESFIELD

The Y7 and Y8 games will be played in the morning with the Y9 and Y10 games following in the afternoon.

There is a new award this year. The player thought by the Sheffield Schools Cricket Association to have made a significant effort on finals day will receive the Frank Scholfield memorial trophy. This ward will be presented at the Federation's AGM in November
