Tapton runners in early ascendancy after two Secondary Cross Country League meetings

After two events Tapton School have five students in first place out of the eight different competitions. T Baines leads the Junior (Y8/9) Boys competition, F Bell the Junior Girls, J Gray heads the Intermediate Boys, L Quinn the Intermediate Girls and F Wiles is ahead in the Senior Girls.

Leaders in the other three age groups are J Jones of King Edward School in the Y7 Boys, C Slack of Firth Park School in the Y7 Girls and Y Mohammed who attends LongleyCollege in the Senior Boys category.

Once again King Edward School have demonstrated their strength in depth by holding first place at present in the overall champion cross country league shield.
