Eight Sheffield students make South Yorkshire team for National Athletics Championships on home soil.

At the English Schools' Athletics Associataion National Championships to be held at Don Valley Stadium Sheffield on 10 and 11 July 2009 there will be eight sheffield pupils looking for national glory in the South Yorkshire colours.

The eight are as follows:

Junior Boys 100m - M HASTINGS (City school)

Junior Boys 200m - A KIWOMYA (Notre Dame school)

Junior Boys 80m Hurdles - T SMEATON (Myers Grove school)

Junior Boys Triple Jump - A KHAN (Silverdale school)

Senior Boys 100m - R REEVE (Springs Academy)

Senior Boys 200m - D KHAN (Silverdale School)

Intermediate Girls 300m - C HALL (Meadowhead School)

Intermediate Girls 80m Hurdles - K CLARKE (Birley School)
