Sheffield U11s vs Scarborough U11s

 League -Home 13.3.10,  Won 13-0

On a day that Sheffield created chance after chance and the score-line could have been bettered against a good and spirited Scarborough team, that had no answer to Sheffields constant threat & bombardment. Thiswas probably the best all- round performance and display of the season so far from the Sheffield team, with all departments of the team competing, working, passing and playing silky football throughout with the first half Sheffield were virtually unplayable. The game had everything with Francis and Rooth (playing in his Sheffield debut) completing hat tricks, Pollard 2, Hackney 2, Darwent and Ryan creating most of the first half efforts and adding 1 goal each, and Law scoring with an auditious lob over the keeper from 25 yards. Another all round team performance in which ALL the players taking part in the game deserve a pat on the back for their efforts and performances and a share of all the plaudits. Special mentions apart from the goal scorers (7 players in total) for MOM Bates another outstanding defensive display, Sheffield Captain Cooper who had an inspired performance in midfield, Whitehouse back to his best. A great display & confidence boost prior to this Saturdays ESFA 7-a side championships at Sunderland Academy , where the winners of the Northern finals will play at Wembley Stadium later in the year as their reward. Good Luck Boys & keep up the good work, come on Sheffield.
